Tim MatlickExecutive Director: Tim Matlick has an M.Ed. in education from North Eastern State University (Oklahoma) and a B.S.E. in K-12 Physical Education from John Brown University (Arkansas). He taught and coached in a boarding high school for 9 years before going into business for a decade. He returned to education serving Colorado charter schools for 17 years as a school board member, principal and area superintendent.

Brendon FeddemaPrincipalBrendon Feddema is originally from Perth, Australia. He   graduated from Regis University with a teaching degree while playing   college basketball. He returned to Australia and competed professionally  in the Australian Rules Football League. As a teacher in   Australia, he taught 4th grade, technology, 2nd and 3rd grade. When he and his wife had their first child, he hung up his cleats and basketball shoes and they headed back to Colorado where he was a teacher and Dean of Students at Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette. He was an administrator at Prairie View High School and Middle School, AP and AD at Legacy High School for 11 years and is finishing off his 16th year as an administrator as the AP and AD at Jefferson Jr/Sr High.

Marlan MullerAssistant Principal (Grades K-3): Marlan Muller has a Master's Degree in School Supervision and Administration from John's Hopkins University and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Goucher College.

Mrs. Muller has many years of experience in education as an elementary  teacher (grades 1, 2, 3), Elementary Principal, K-12 Assistant Principal, Curriculum Director and Volunteer Coordinator.

Mark Abling Assistant Principal (Grades 4 - 6/JagCare): Mark Abling is a Colorado Native who grew up in Arvada. He attended Colorado State University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History while getting his teaching license. He also has two Master’s Degrees, one in Curriculum and Instruction and the other in Educational Leadership. As a teacher, he taught for 11 years and in two countries. He and his wife, who is also in education, taught in Mexico City for two years and came back to the US to raise their two children close to home. He is entering his 6th year as an administrator and will be working with the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teams this year.

Dean of Culture & ClimateSabrina Chapman Sabrina Chapmanhas her Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Argosy University; she received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona in Elementary Education.  

Mrs. Chapman has been a part of the Jefferson Academy community since 2004 as a parent, Educational Assistant, and teacher.

Sonja Netzer

Instructional Coach:  Sonja Netzer attended Wichita State University and received her degree in K-8 education.  Sonja taught for 10 years in the Wichita School district in 1st & 2nd grade, and two long term sub positions in Kinder and 5th. Sonja taught 1st grade for one year and 3rd grade for 12 years at JA. She has been the Instructional Coach for 10 years.  Sonja earned a Master’s Degree in Literacy Instruction in 2007 from Walden University.  Sonja and her husband are both involved in charter schools. They have three adult children and three lovely granddaughters.
